Ruang Rasa, Counselling for Supporting Mental Health and Well-Being for Students of Faculty of Law UGM

Ruang Rasa is a group counseling event that presents as a forum for sharing experiences and growing together. This group counseling appears to support students of Faculty of Law UGM’s mental health and well-being. This event was conducted for 2 days (4-6/6/2024) with the theme " Burn Out Management" and “Anxiety Management”.

The participants were all coming from different backgrounds, creating a space for each individual to share and learn from each other. During those two days, participants were involved in an interactive session that was moderated by a psychologist in the Faculty of Law UGM. In this group counseling sessions, the participants explored topics such as stress management, anxiety management, and mindfulness. Through the discussion and group activities, the participants were asked to deeply understand their own selves and build a positive social support as an important part in reaching emotional and mental welfare.

Ruang Rasa is not only a counseling program, but also a concrete step in implementing a healthy campus environment. This event also align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially with the 3rd goal on Good Health and Well-Being.

With strengthening the individual capacity in managing their mental health, this program contributes in SDGs implementation and building a strong community. Hopefully, this event can be conducted again in the future supporting the journey to collective well-being.
