Master of Law Faculty of Law UGM Jakarta Branch (MIH Kampus Jakarta) was established in 2001. Currently, Master of Law Jakarta Branch offered two study programs, those are Business Law and Litigation Law. Every year, those two study programs conducted two admissions of new students with an average number of 100 people accepted. The number of active students in one academic year reaches 300 people.

The majority of the Master of Law Jakarta Brance are coming from the lawyers, prosecutor, Judges, Public Servants, Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police, Private Company Empolyees, Consultant, and Entreperneur. In order to suit student profiles and take specialization into account, the Master of Law Jakarta Branch has a curriculum that contains Business Law (company, banking, investment, business competition, bankruptcy, commercial contracts, international trade, IPR, employment), and Litigation Law (professional ethics, inventions law, evidence, human rights, legal memorandum & examination, execution, ADR).

Lecturing activity is held with problem-based learning (PBL) method with providing many opportunities for the students to present the legal cases that they have handled. Through this method, the lecturers assist the students to improve their mastery in conceptual-analytic thinking, problem solving as well as ethical awareness.

Master of Law Jakarta Branch is supported by 46 lecturers with the following components: 34 theorities and 12 practitioners. The majority of the theorities lecturer are coming from the UGM Jogjakarta Branch. Meanwhile for the practitioners come from the Civil Servant, Lawyers, and Consultant.

Since the establishment day, the Master of Law Jakarta Branch has made a partnership with the government institution and other companies such as Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian Electrical Company (PLN). The partnership curriculum is designed to fulfill the partner needs (tailor-made)tailor-made).

Currently, the Master of Law Jakarta Branch is accredited with A grade through the decision BAN-PT No. 3197/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/VIII/2019.
