The management of Master of Notary Study Program, Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I. and Anggita Mustika Dewi, S.H., M.Kn. attended the Coordination Meeting for Strengthening, Coaching and Supervising The Notary and the Inauguration for Notary Regional Supervisory Board (MPWN) for the period of 2024-2027. In this meeting, the lecturers from Master of Notary Faculty of Law UGM, R. Sumendro, S.H., Heri Sabto Widodo, S.H., and Dr. jur. Any Andjarwati, S.H., M.jur. were appointed as the Notary Supervisory Board of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
This inauguration ceremony was carried out by Cahyo Rahadian Muzhar, S.H., LL.M. as the General Director of the General Legal Administration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia on Wednesday (18/09/24). This meeting took place in Ballroom Discover in Kartika Plaza Hotel, Bali. The Head of Regional Offices and Heads of the Legal and Human Rights Services Division throughout Indonesia and the members of MKNW, both from notary and the academics, were also present in this meeting. Faculty of Law UGM was trusted to assign their lecturers as the Regional Supervisory Council, Provincial Supervisory Council, and Notary Honorary Council as the form of partnership between Faculty of Law UGM and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office in DIY.
Through this inauguration, it is expected that the chosen members can fulfill their commitment in doing supervision towards the performance of the positions and the ethics of the notary objectively, without the intervene of the intimidation or gratification. This event was an important moment in improving the synergy between the government, notary, and academics in enforcing the law in Indonesia, and aligned with the 17th goal of SDGs on Partnership for the Goals.
