Head of the Master of Notary Program at UGM Faculty of Law Re-Elected as Chair of the Association of State University Master of Notary Programs Across Indonesia

The Master of Notary Program (Magister Kenotariatan/MKn) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), has once again achieved a notable accomplishment through the re-election of Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I., Head of the Master of Notary Program at FH UGM, as Chair of the Association of State University Master of Notary Programs Across Indonesia (Badan Kerja Sama Program Studi Magister Kenotariatan Perguruan Tinggi Negeri se-Indonesia/BKS MKn FH PTN) for the 2026–2029 period.

The appointment was confirmed during the BKS MKn FH PTN Coordination Meeting held on Monday (27 April 2026) at Universitas Airlangga. The forum was attended by 14 heads/coordinators and secretaries of Master of Notary Programs representing 21 state university notary programs across Indonesia. The BKS MKn PTN forum serves as a strategic platform for strengthening coordination, collaboration in the implementation of the university tri dharma, and the alignment of notarial education development at the national level.

The renewed trust placed in Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I., reflects recognition of her leadership in advancing the development of notarial education programs. During the previous term, BKS MKn FH PTN played an active role in strengthening curriculum development, improving the quality of learning, and expanding inter-university networks.

The continuation of this leadership is expected to further reinforce the role of BKS as a collaborative and progressive national coordination platform in enhancing the quality of notarial education. The Master of Notary Program at FH UGM also expressed appreciation for the renewed trust and reaffirmed its commitment to continuously contributing to the advancement of notarial legal education in Indonesia.

This activity is also closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through efforts to improve the quality and sustainability of nationally standardized notarial education. In addition, strengthening coordination and collaboration among study programs within the BKS MKn FH PTN framework supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering strong and synergistic networks among higher education institutions. Furthermore, the strategic role of notarial education in producing competent and ethical legal professionals contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, particularly in supporting legal certainty and credible institutional governance in Indonesia.
