The opening ceremony for the 14th Special Professional Training Program for Attorneys (PKPA) 2025 was held in a hybrid format on Monday (February 17, 2025) at Building V of the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM). The opening of the PKPA marked the start of the program, which is a collaboration between FH UGM and the Indonesian Advocates Association—Rumah Bersama Advokat (PERADI RBA). The opening ceremony, followed by a lecture session, was attended by more than 52 in-person participants and 53 online participants of PKPA XIV.
The event was attended by representatives from both FH UGM and PERADI. Representing FH UGM was the Associate Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL. M., M.A., the Head of the Center for Legal Consultation and Assistance (PKBH) at the UGM Faculty of Law; Annisa Syaufika Y. R., S.H., M.H., Chair of the PKPA XIV Organizing Committee; Airin Liemanto, Second Secretary of the UGM Faculty of Law PKBH; as well as other committee members from the PKBH. Furthermore, PERADI RBA was represented by Dr. Broto Hastono, S.H., M.H., and Fajar Mulia, members of the Supervisory Commission (Komwas) of the PERADI National Executive Board (DPN), as well as Wijaya Kusuma, S.H., M.Hum., Chair of the PERADI RBA Bantul Regency Branch Executive Board.
The collaboration between the UGM Faculty of Law and PERADI RBA in organizing the PKPA is intended to provide law graduates with the opportunity to deepen their legal knowledge, hone their practical legal skills, and strengthen their integrity in preparation for the Advocate Professional Examination (UPA). Furthermore, the PKPA program also serves as a concrete manifestation of Indonesia’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4—Quality Education—and Goal 8—Decent Work and Economic Growth.
The two-week PKPA XIV features top-tier instructors with exceptional experience in legal practice. This ensures the delivery of high-quality education for Indonesia’s aspiring attorneys, ultimately enabling participants to secure decent jobs and contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth. In addition, the course materials were comprehensively prepared to ensure they meet professional standards for attorneys. Benefits provided to all PKPA XIV participants included meals during the program, course merchandise, access to course materials—including recordings of lecture sessions—and a PKPA certificate.
