Delegations from FH UGM, consisting of two teams, Team Jalak and Team Walabi, won the titles of Best Submission, 1st Place, and 3rd Place at the Marvelaw UNNES Scientific Writing Competition 2022. The competition's overarching theme was "Revitalizing Environmental Law Amid Massive National Development." From the selection round, five teams with the best-scoring papers were chosen to compete in the final round: two teams from Universitas Gadjah Mada, one from Universitas Indonesia, one from Universitas Diponegoro, and one from Universitas Islam Sultan Agung.
The final round series began with a National Seminar featuring speakers Prof. M. R. Andri Gunawan Wibisana, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. (Professor of Environmental Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia), Yazid Nurhuda, S.H., M.A. (Director of Criminal Law Enforcement, Ministry of Environment and Forestry), and Syahrul Fitra (Senior Forest Campaigner at Greenpeace Southeast Asia). The final round then continued with presentations by the finalists before the judges.
