In this public thesis defense, Pertiwiningsih explained her reasoning on choosing the procedural justice aspect rather than substantive procedural aspect that was used in her research. Pertiwiningsih argued that the result from the pre-research that was done directly showed that the problem was started from the practical level, mechanism, procedural, until the regulations, there are no conflicts or differences in both Family and Marital Assets Law and Land Law regime regarding the procedures for registering joint assets in the form of land ownership rights. However, in the implementation, it was found the difference of interpretation between the practitioners that resulted in the injustice towards the married couple whose names are not registered in the certificate. Therefore, this research chose the justice procedural aspect for creating a personal procedural standard for the people, so that there will be no differences in both implementation and interpretation from the practitioners or the public relating to the wife or husband naming in the ownership certificate of the joint land ownership.
In this public thesis defense, Pertiwiningsih successfully defended her research with satisfaction result and graduated with grade A. Thereby, it is announced that Pertiwiningsih, S.H., M.Kn. is the 270th doctoral candidate that graduated from Faculty of Law UGM and the 6219th doctoral candidate that graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
