Workshop on Journal Management Assistance and Open Journal Website System in Faculty of Law UGM

Faculty of Law UGM striving to increase the quality and the quantity for the academic journal as the part of their commitment in developing the academia through the implementation of The Three Pillars of Higher Education, along with the implementation of the 4th goals of SDGs in Quality Education. Faculty of Law UGM taking their step by conducting a Journal Management Assistance and Open Journal Website System (OJS) Workshop on Friday (26/4/2024).

In 2024, besides Mimbar Hukum Journal and Journal of Interdisciplinary Legal Issue, Faculty of Law UGM also expanding the scope of their academic journal with the introduction of their new journal. Currently, there are in total of 3 (three) students’ journals and 4 (four) department journals that were released in 2023. The increase of the amount of the journal is expected to be a new forum for the lecturers, students, researchers, and legal practitioners to publish their research in a form of journal article.

The main objective of this workshop is for the managers of student journals and departmental journals to understand journal publishing management and website management based on Open Journal System (OJS). In addition, participants also get a review of the completeness of the information on the journal website and get assistance in filling in the information.

  5. Juris Gentium Law Review (JGLR) by CIMC
  6. ALSA LC UGM Law Journal (ARJUNA) by ALSA LC UGM
  7. Legal Review of Palapa Justicia by FPPH Palapa

The speakers for this workshop are coming from the UGM Research Directorate and discussing the topic related to the introduction of Open Journal System (OJS) along with the journal management plan review and the assistance for filling the information on OJS website.

This workshop is one of the concrete step by the Faculty of Law UGM in strengthening the infrastructure and their academic journal management, along with carrying out their support in research development and the academic research between academia.
