“Indonesian Yearbook of International Law Volume 2 Year 2021” Book Launching and Review by Faculty of Law UGM

Faculty of Law UGM held an important event in the academic field, those are the book launching and review with the title “Indonesian Yearbook of International Law Volume 2 Year 2021”. The event was held on Thursday (25/4/2024) was attended by the main authors, the main respondent, and the students that have an interest in international law.

This book is a collaboration with several well-known authors in their respective fields, namely Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL..M., M.A. from UGM; Bayu Sujadmiko, S.H., M.H., Ph.D. from the University of Lampung; Dr. Aryuni Yuliantiningsih, S.H., M.H. from Jenderal Soedirman University; Prof. Dr. Maskun, S.H., LL.M. from Hasanuddin University; and Dr. Made Suksma Prijandhini Devi Salain from Udayana University. The event was also attended online registration process. by the main respondent, H.E. Amrih Jinangkung from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In this book launching and review, the authors were briefly gave their overview on their materials for the book. The participants were also actively participated in the question and answer session that triggered a lively discussion with new perspectives and understandings on the related topics.

“Indonesian Yearbook of International Law Volume 2 Year 2021” consists of 5 main articles, legislative review, 2 articles on the diplomatic practices, and 2 book reviews in the field of international law in both private and public law. Various topics were discussed from the legal protection in diplomatic and consular to the contract law in multinational transactions.

This event is not only becoming an important moment in introducing the newest academic works, but also becoming a forum for the discussion and knowledge exchange regarding the relevant international law issues. This event also participating in implementing the 4th and 17th goals of SDGs namely Quality Education and Partnership for The Goals. 

“Indonesian Yearbook of International Law Volume 2 Year 2021” book review is one of the significant steps in enriching the international law literature in Indonesia and a contribution for the legal education nationally and internationally.
