The Research and Publication Unit (URP) of the UGM Faculty of Law hosted the third installment of the Bulaksumur Legal Discussion Series on Monday, October 16, 2023, focusing on the theme “Strategies for Publishing in Nationally and Internationally Indexed Journals.” This online event aimed to enhance the knowledge of undergraduate through doctoral students regarding tips for revising manuscripts submitted to both national and international journals. It is hoped that this will provide insight to recipients of the Student Research Grant regarding manuscript revision strategies and the selection of both national and international journals. This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Quality Education.
Pada kesempatan ini, URP menghadirkan narasumber yang sangat kompeten di bidang jurnal dan literatur. Narasumber pertama merupakan Ketua Asosiasi Pengelola Jurnal Indonesia sekaligus dosen di Universitas Brawijaya, Dhiana Puspitawati S.H., LL.M., Ph.D.. Materi yang disampaikan berfokus pada strategi melakukan revisi manuskrip pasca evaluasi oleh peer-reviewer dan menentukan pilihan untuk submisi di jurnal nasional. Narasumber kedua merupakan Alexander von Humboldt Fellow di Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Jerman, I Gusti Agung Made Wardana, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D.. Sebagai seorang dosen di Fakultas Hukum UGM, Agung Wardana memiliki belasan artikel yang tersebar di jurnal internasional yang sebagian besar merupakan jurnal Scopus Q1. Tidak hanya itu saja, Agung Wardana juga menjadi associate editor di Journal of Legal Pluralism and Critical Social Analysis dan reviewer di beberapa jurnal internasional bereputasi lainnya. Dalam kesempatan ini, materi yang disampaikan Agung Wardana berfokus pada kiat-kiat mempersiapkan manuskrip, proses literature review, hal yang perlu diperhatikan sebelum submisi, pemilihan jurnal, dan merespon hasil review pasca submisi.
