Team from UGM Successfully Achieved the 3rd Postition in The 4th National Business Legal Talk 2024

Faculty of Law UGM successfully achieved the 3rd position in Legal Opinion Competition in Theth 4th National Business Legal Talk 2024. This competition was held by Business Law Society Faculty of Law Universitas Sebelas Maret on 14th of November 2023 - 18th of February 2024. In this competition, Faculty of Law UGM delegated Laila Hasna Azizah (2020) as the Team Leader and Aditya Dirga Pratama (2021) as the member of the team.

The main theme of this year’s competition is “Perlindungan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual dalam Inovasi dan Kolaborasi Teknologi Transportasi Berkelanjutan Berbasis Artificial Intelligence". This competition is open to all universities in Indonesia. A total of 50 teams from 24 universities have competed in this competition.

The competition began with a preliminary round through online selection of files that had been collected. In this round, files from 50 teams were selected using a knockout system to produce 5 teams with the highest scores. The five teams that qualified will become finalists and compete in the final round. The team from Universitas Gadjah Mada was one of the teams that successfully qualified for the final round. In the final round, the finalists were asked to present the material that had been collected as well as a question and answer session with the Jury. The final round took place at the Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University and was attended directly by practitioners and academics as the Jury. The winners of this competition were Universitas Diponegoro as Champion 1, Universitas Padjajaran as Champion 2, and Universitas Gadjah Mada as Champion 3.

This achievement represents one of the accomplishments of the Faculty of Law at UGM in advancing quality education, as point 4 of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through this achievement, the team of Faculty of Law UGM sent the biggest gratitude for the parties that have contributed to the preparation of the competition. Hopefully, this can motivate other students to think critically and trained to enhance their skill in legal opinion making.
