MHBK Held A Focus Group Discussion To Synchronize The Curriculum

Thursday (17/10/2024), Master of Business and Constitutional Law Study Program (MHBK) Faculty of Law UGM held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to conduct a review towards the curriculum of the concentration from Master of Constitutional Law. This event was aimed to synchronize the curriculum with the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 53 of 2023 on Quality Assurance in Higher Education, and Rector’s Regulation No. 23 of 2024 on Education.

The event that took place in Room B.5.5 Faculty of Law UGM at 13.00 until 15.00 was attended by the lecturers from Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, and the management and staffs from MHBK. This FGD became a platform to intensively discussed regarding the curriculum improvement so it can be aligned with the current quality standard and the relevant needs of the academic.

During the discussion, the participants discussed regarding several components from the curriculum of the Constitutional Law concentration, including the courses such as Legal Theory, Legal Politics, Constitutional Law and Theory, State Administrative Law, and several courses that related with the constitution. The main topic of the FGD itself has covered the proposal of the curriculum modification and the addition of some new courses, with the hope for a latest curriculum as the result and can fulfill the people’s needs.

This curriculum review was a part of the MHBK’s effort in contributing to the SDGs, especially with the 4th goal on the Qualified Education. The curriculum upgrade was expected to produce a competent graduates that are ready to face the challenges in this modern era with owning the ability to contribute to the legal and constitutional system development in Indonesia.

Through this FGD, MHBK Faculty of Law UGM showed their commitment and consistency in improving the quality of legal education, especially in the field of Constitutional Law concentration. This was also aimed to produce graduates who significantly giving a contribution to the community.
