Notary Podcast: Lifetime Period for Lease Agreement, Is It Allowed?

The Master of Notary Program Faculty of Law just released the podcast with the title“Notary Podcast Episode 3: Lifetime Period for Lease Agreement, Is It Allowed?” on the Notary Master Program YouTube channel.This podcast is a collaboration between Notary Master Program and the Notary Student Community, as a contribution for the public service. This podcast presents Dr. Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum. as a Lecturer at the Department of Civil Law, Faculty of Law, UGM as a speaker.

This podcast addressed various issues that are often asked by the public in the lease agreement. The issues addressed are whether the lifetime period for lease agreements is allowed, the rights and obligations for the parties, whether the lessee are allowed to detain the lease object if the payment have not been made, whether the lease agreement should be in a form of authentic deed, and others. This discussion on the lease agreement is presented in a form of podcast with the expectation to provide an easy access for information to the public (not only for the Notary Master Program students) anywhere.

Strengthening Substantive Justice: KMHLi UGM Discussion on Justifications and Excuses in the National Criminal Code

The Litigation Law Master’s Family (KMHLi) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held a public discussion on the conceptualization of justifications (alasan pembenar) and excuses (alasan pemaaf) in the National Criminal Code, titled “Justifications and Excuses: Whose Reasons?” on Thursday (30/4) at the Auditorium of Building B, Faculty of Law UGM. The event brought together academics and legal practitioners to examine Articles 31 to 44 of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the National Criminal Code before approximately 100 participants.

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), has once again achieved a notable accomplishment through its delegation—Salsabila Zita Amalia (2023), Cut Kayla Layyina (2023), and Fayyaza Naira Hafidz (2023)—who secured 2nd place at the Sam Ratulangi Law Writing Competition 2026, organized by the Legal Writing Center, Faculty of Law, Sam Ratulangi University. This national-level Legal Opinion competition carried the main theme “Legal Modernization in Addressing the Challenges of Digital Technology Towards an Inclusive and Adaptive Legal Ecosystem.”
