On Monday, December 1, 2025, the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) conducted a series of visits to RRI Yogyakarta and TVRI Yogyakarta. The visits were conducted to discuss plans for continued collaboration between FH UGM and RRI Yogyakarta and TVRI Yogyakarta in 2026. This cooperation is essentially intended to improve the performance of the Faculty of Law UGM in carrying out excellent community service, in this case through the FH UGM Legal Consultation and Assistance Center (PKBH).
The series of visits began with a meeting at RRI Yogyakarta at 11:00 a.m. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems at FH UGM, along with colleagues from PKBH and Mr. Surya Bachtera, S.Sos., representative of the management of RRI Yogyakarta. From this meeting, an initiative was launched for legal education broadcasts as part of community service between FH UGM and RRI Yogyakarta, to be continued for at least one year starting in early 2026, with plans for 14 to 24 broadcasts, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. RRI Yogyakarta stated that they would provide more open space for planning broadcasts that are beneficial to the community, as in 2025, the “Santai Siang” program has been broadcast on RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta and the “Sanksi” program will be broadcast on RRI Pro 1 Yogyakarta. In this case, FH UGM, through the PKBH work unit, was also directed to discuss one important topic, namely corruption, so that the community can avoid corrupt behavior and increase awareness of corrupt behavior.

After visiting RRI Yogyakarta, FH UGM, represented by the PKBH team, continued the series of visits to TVRI Yogyakarta. This visit also discussed the continuation of cooperation between FH UGM and TVRI Yogyakarta, particularly in terms of digitizing legal counseling in the context of community service with the concept of a program titled “Pro Justicia,” which is broadcast regularly twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The meeting was also attended by the Head of TVRI Yogyakarta Station, Akhbar Sahidi, S.Sos, along with TVRI Yogyakarta producers and management. Seeing the high number of viewers and ratings for “Pro Justicia” as well as the positive impact of the program's concept on the community, TVRI Yogyakarta expressed its appreciation to FH UGM and expressed its desire for this cooperation program to continue in the following year, namely 2026. The meeting also discussed the broadcast schedule, which will begin in early 2026, as well as other agreements related to the implementation of the program, which will involve external speakers from various universities and practitioners, including lawyers, police, and prosecutors, in order to optimize the provision of the latest legal insights digitally through TVRI Yogyakarta.
The existence of this collaboration in providing digital legal counseling as part of community service is correlated with the effort to realize Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs point 4, which is to provide education and training that reaches the wider community, in this case related to legal education and training that is easier for the community to understand. In addition, this activity is also relevant to point 16 of the SDGs, namely efforts to achieve peace, justice, and build inclusive institutions so as to have a positive impact on society, as well as point 17 of the SDGs in the context of realizing strategic partnerships to achieve the expected goals and continue to develop further in the future.
