Legal Counselling Suluh Praja that held at Wukirsari Subdistrict on Friday (22/02/2024) is one of the collaborative campaign between Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada and DIY High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DIY) as the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. Sustainable Development GoalsThis collaboration mainly supports the 17th Goal of SDGs, Partnership to Achieve Goals. This Legal Counselling was attended by several parties, including the Head of Wukirsari Village, representatives of the UGM Faculty of Law, and the DIY High Prosecutor's Office.
In this counselling, the speakers from Faculty of Law UGM and Yogyakarta High Prosecutor’s Office presented a comprehensive explanation on several legal aspects that are relevant with Wukirsari Subdistrict People. Ardianto Budi Rahmawan, S.H., LL.M from Faculty of Law UGM explained on types, functions, and licensing for the use of village land that supports the implementation of the 11th point of SDGs, “Sustainable City and Community”. Meanwhile, Dr. Jur. Any Andjarwati, S.H., M.jur. From Faculty of Law UGM discussed on Wukirsari’s Subdisctrict’s legal issue that related with land law, rights of land, authority, and responsibility in contributing to the implementation of 16th SGDs point, “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institution”. Last but not least, Ayu Wulandari, S.H. from Yogyakarta High Prosecutor’s Office explained about duties and responsibilities of Indonesian High Prosecutor’s Office in civil and state administrative along with the mechanism to obtain Halo JPN, Pajeksan Desa, and Si Suluh Praja services that also support the 16th SDGs.
During the Question and Answer session, Wukirsari’s Subdistrict people also shared their problem on their village land, the changing regulations, and the difficulties in accessing death statement letter. The speakers also provided the useful information, including the land certificate management and name ownership transfer by Faculty of Law UGM, as well as the pro bono consultation by PKBH Faculty of Law UGM.
Suluh Praja Legal Consultation in Wukirsari Subdisctrict gave an opportunity for the public to understand the law appropriately and obtaining solution on the problems they face. This collaboration between Faculty of Law UGM, Yogyakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, and public is important as the effort to enhance their legal awareness and provide better legal protection.
