On Monday, September 9, 2024, the Faculty of Law UGM, through the Legal Aid Consultation Center (PKBH), in collaboration with the DIY High Prosecutor's Office, successfully held the "Suluh Praja" legal counseling event at the Wukirsari Village Office, Imogiri District, Gunungkidul Regency, DIY. This legal counseling aimed to provide legal insights and knowledge to the attendees, including village officials and local residents, on frequently encountered legal issues.
The theme for this Suluh Praja session was "Workers' Rights in Health, Protection, and Participation" and "Environmental Health," focusing on legal perspectives related to labor and environmental health.
The event began at 09:30 AM with a joint rendition of the Indonesian National Anthem. This was followed by opening remarks from Wukirsari Village Head, Mr. Susilo Hapsoro, S.E. Subsequently, the DIY High Prosecutor's Office team provided an introduction and presentation on the duties, functions, and roles of the Indonesian Public Prosecutor's Office in civil and state administrative matters.

The material was presented by Dr. Rr. Dinarjati Eka Puspitasari, S.H., M.Hum., a lecturer in environmental law from the Faculty of Law UGM, who discussed "Environmental Health" to provide insights into legal aspects of environmental health, particularly in the workplace. Additionally, another lecturer from the Faculty of Law UGM, Nailul Amany, S.H., M.H., covered workers' rights concerning health, protection, and participation, providing information on workers' rights, particularly in terms of occupational health and safety, as well as social security.
Following the presentations by the UGM Faculty of Law lecturers, the event continued with a presentation from BPJS Kesehatan, delivered by dr. M. Idar Aries Munandar, Head of the Yogyakarta BPJS Kesehatan Branch Office, who discussed workers' rights under BPJS Health. The speakers actively engaged in a question-and-answer session with village officials.
The presentations from all speakers were delivered in an interactive and engaging manner, facilitating effective discussion. The lecturers responded to participants' questions clearly and with practical solutions. This legal counseling is expected to contribute to achieving healthy and prosperous living for workers, aligning with SDG Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), creating decent work as outlined in SDG Goal 8, and fostering peace, justice, and strong institutions as per SDG Goal 16, through the collaborative efforts involved in this legal counseling.
