Kembang, June 23, 2023 -- On Friday, June 23, 2023, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with Kejati DIY, held a legal outreach session titled "Datun Suluh Praja" at Kembang Village, Kulon Progo. The legal outreach session at Kembang Village also marked the close of the second round of the 2023 Datun Suluh Praja series.
This session featured experienced and relevant resource persons in the fields of development and land law. Rafael Edy Bosko, S.H., M.IL. addressed the legal aspects relating to development, while Anggita Mustika Dewi, S.H., M.Kn. introduced the legal aspects relating to land. In addition, Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. provided insight into the relationship between development and land.
Participants in this session comprised village officials of Kembang and local residents who attended to gain a stronger understanding of the role of law in development and land matters. The resource persons explained the legal regulations governing development, licensing procedures, and the legal aspects of land ownership and use.
Throughout the session, there was active interaction between the resource persons and participants. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences relating to development and land matters. These questions were answered clearly, giving participants a stronger understanding.
With the conclusion of the Datun Suluh Praja Legal Outreach session in Kembang, it is hoped that public awareness and knowledge regarding the relationship between development and land will continue to grow. The UGM Faculty of Law and Kejati DIY will continue striving to hold similar legal outreach activities to provide stronger understanding to the public. It is hoped that, through a better understanding of development and land law, the community can become actively involved in sustainable development and fair land management in Kembang Village.
