Jatisarono, June 22, 2023 -- On Thursday, June 22, 2023, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with Kejati DIY, held a legal outreach session titled "Datun Suluh Praja" at Jatisarono Village, Kulon Progo. The session aimed to give village officials and local residents a stronger understanding of inheritance, grants, and land sale and purchase.
This session featured resource persons with relevant expertise in inheritance, grant, and land sale and purchase law. Dr. Hartini, S.H., M.Si. provided explanation and insight into the legal aspects of inheritance, while Umar Mubdi, S.H., LL.M. addressed the law of grants (hibah). In addition, Herliana, S.H., M.ComLaw., Ph.D. shared knowledge on the legal aspects of land sale and purchase transactions.
Participants in attendance comprised village officials of Jatisarono and residents interested in gaining a deeper understanding of inheritance, grants, and land sale and purchase. The resource persons explained the legal regulations governing inheritance, the procedures for making grants, and the legal aspects of land sale and purchase transactions. They also shared information on the rights and obligations relating to land ownership.
An interactive discussion between the resource persons and participants allowed for the exchange of ideas and the resolution of problems relating to inheritance, grants, and land sale and purchase. Questions raised by participants were answered clearly, providing useful solutions for application in their daily lives.
The UGM Faculty of Law and Kejati DIY remain committed to continuing to hold legal outreach activities of this kind, with the hope of bringing broader benefit to the public. The Kulon Progo Regency Government will also continue to support efforts of this kind in order to improve public legal knowledge and awareness across various aspects of daily life, including land transactions and ownership.
