A delegation from the Constitutional Law Society of the UGM Faculty of Law won third place in the Legal Essay category at the Raden Rahmat Law Fair on Tuesday (May 16) in Surabaya.
The Raden Rahmat Law Fair is an annual event organized by the Law Debate Community at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The competition, which has been held since April 2023, features several categories: Legal Debate, Legal Essay, and Legal Opinion. In the Legal Essay category, the theme was “Constitutionalism in the Dynamics of Indonesia’s Rule of Law.”
In the final round, the delegation—comprising Nasywa Ananditha Bilal (Class of 2022) and Andi Sitti Ainy Nur Alifah (Class of 2022)—presented their essay, which addressed the sub-theme “Public Participation in the Process of Formulating the National Legislative Program through the Doctrine of Public Trust to Realize Pancasila Democracy.” After the final round, the essay written by the delegation won third place.
In light of this achievement, both delegates hope to continue improving their writing skills and remain undaunted when facing opponents in the future.
