KMMIH 2018–2019 Management Board Officially Inaugurated
Yogyakarta – The new management board of the Keluarga Mahasiswa Magister Ilmu Hukum UGM (KMMIH UGM) for the 2018–2019 period was officially inaugurated on August 13, 2018. A total of 11 new board members were inaugurated, consisting of the Executive Board (Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer) and three divisions: the Advocacy, Studies, and Research Division (AKP); the Human Resources Development Division (PSDM); and the Public Relations Division (Humas).
The inauguration was led by the Head of the Master of Law Study Program at UGM, Prof. Dr. Eddy O.S. Hiariej, accompanied by Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M. (HR), Ph.D., Secretary of the Master of Law Study Program at UGM. The event was witnessed by several members of the 2017–2018 KMMIH management board, as well as invited guests, including representatives of the Master of Notarial Law and Master of Law programs at UGM. Prof. Eddy encouraged the newly inaugurated KMMIH management board to base its future programs on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education and teaching, research, and community service—so that the activities carried out would provide meaningful benefits. Meanwhile, in his inaugural remarks as the new Chairperson of KMMIH UGM, Muhammad Fikri Alan introduced the name of his administration as the “Inspirative Cabinet.”
“KMMIH must inspire many people in the future. That is why this cabinet is called the Inspirative Cabinet. We aim to inspire society through knowledge, inspire the legal academic community through new breakthroughs to address various national issues, and inspire Indonesia to become a better nation in the future. Therefore, during this term, KMMIH will focus on education, research, and community service. The process will certainly not be easy, as there will be many things to learn, improve, and work toward. However, with the current management board, God willing, we will be able to go through the entire process successfully.” At the end of his speech, Alan expressed his gratitude to the previous management board for its guidance, advice, and for laying the valuable foundations of the organization. “Do not ask what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” — John F.
