The Notarial Studies Master’s Program and the Department of Civil Law at the UGM Faculty of Law have successfully held a training session on drafting private contracts for students in the Notarial Studies Master’s Program. The training was held from Friday to Saturday, November 21–22, 2025, in a hybrid format in Room III.1.1 of the UGM Faculty of Law and online via Zoom Cloud Meetings. This training was designed to strengthen students’ competencies in understanding, drafting, and analyzing private contracts.
The training featured faculty members from the Department of Civil Law as speakers, including Prof. Dr. Siti Ismijati Jenie, S.H., Prof. Dr. Ari Hernawan, S.H., M.Hum., Dr. Taufiq El Rahman, S.H., M.Hum., Dr. Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum., Dr. R.A. Antari Innaka Turingsih, S.H., M.Hum., Alfatika Aunuriella Dini, S.H., M.Kn., Ph.D., Sa’ida Rusdiana, S.H., LL.M., and Muhammad Jibril, S.H., M.PrivateLaw. Through systematic and interactive presentations, the speakers provided an in-depth exploration of the material, ranging from basic concepts to techniques for analyzing contract documents.
During this training program, participants attended four training sessions covering the following topics:
- Contract Theory, Principles, and Valid Conditions of Contracts;
- Contract Structure;
- Principles of Drafting Contract Clauses and Language; and
- Practical Review of Contract Documents.
This series of sessions not only deepened participants’ theoretical understanding of private contracts but also provided hands-on experience in drafting clauses, using appropriate contract language, and document evaluation techniques. Through this practice-based approach, the Master’s Program in Notarial Studies at the Faculty of Law, UGM, reaffirms its commitment to equipping students with professional skills relevant to the notarial profession, particularly in the field of contract drafting.
This training also serves as part of the Master of Notary Program at the UGM Faculty of Law’s contribution to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by providing applied learning that integrates theory and practice and fosters the development of legal competencies that are adaptable to the needs of society and the profession.
