The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), through the Natural Resources Governance Studies (NRGS) Center, in collaboration with PT Pertamina (Persero) through Pertamina Corporate University, conducted the Mini Master of Laws Program Pertamina 2026 at the FH UGM Yogyakarta Campus. The program’s tenth week marked a special occasion, as the Mini Master of Laws Program Pertamina, which has traditionally been held at the UGM Jakarta Campus, was also hosted in Yogyakarta. The activities were held on Thursday and Friday, 27–28 August 2026.
The Mini Master of Laws Program Pertamina is part of an initiative to strengthen legal competencies among participants from PT Pertamina (Persero). Throughout the program, participants take part in a range of learning sessions covering legal issues relevant to the needs and dynamics of the corporate sector.
The learning sessions on Thursday, 27 August 2026, began with a session on Public Finance Law, which examined the evaluation of state financial management within state-owned enterprises (SOEs), as well as challenges and potential solutions in the management of public finances within SOEs. The session was delivered by Dwi Haryati, S.H., M.H., Lecturer in State Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
On the same day, participants also attended a session on Corporate Organization Law, which explored the business judgment rule and piercing the corporate veil. The session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Sulistiowati, S.H., M.Hum., Professor of Business Law at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

To welcome the MMHP participants to the Yogyakarta Campus, a luncheon and networking session was also held. The session provided an opportunity to strengthen interaction and relationships between participants, members of the FH UGM academic community, and stakeholders involved in the program. As part of the networking session, an introduction to the Master of Laws (MIH) Program at the UGM Jakarta Campus was also presented. The session was intended to provide information to Mini Master of Laws Program Pertamina participants who may be interested in pursuing formal postgraduate education at the master’s level in law. Participants were introduced to the MIH Program at the UGM Jakarta Campus and given information regarding opportunities for further study after completing the Mini Master of Laws Program.
The learning sessions continued on Friday, 28 August 2026, with Commercial Contract Law, which covered breach of contract, overmacht, and hardship, together with their implications for contractual relationships, as well as the concept of contracts in common law. The session was delivered by Muhammad Jibril, S.H., M.PrivateLaw, Lecturer in Private Law at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
The final session of the week focused on Transnational Business Law, covering the Trade-Related Investment Measures (TRIMs) Agreement, as well as agreements concerning agriculture and rules of origin. The session was delivered by Prof. Tomi Suryo Utomo, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Professor of Business Law at Universitas Janabadra and Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Through the implementation of the Mini Master of Laws Program Pertamina at the Yogyakarta Campus, FH UGM and Pertamina Corporate University continue to strengthen their collaboration in developing human resource capacity in the legal field. The program also serves as a platform for bringing together the professional competency development needs of the corporate sector with the role of higher education institutions in providing advanced education and advancing legal scholarship.
