Community Service Department DEMA Justicia is back with DEMA Mengajar Program. This year DEMA Mengajar was conducted from Sunday (5/5/2024) until Sunday (26/5/2024) with the grand theme “Justicia Melukis Prestasi” (Justicia’s Portrait of New Achievement).
DEMA Mengajar itself is a teaching activity conducted by volunteers who are students from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The program focuses on personal capacity development for students at the Gajahwong School Community. It is expected that this activity will broaden their knowledge and enhance their skills, literacy, and numeracy.
DEMA Mengajar began with a welcoming speech from the Chairperson of DEMA Justicia, followed by a speech from the Chairperson of the Gajahwong School Community, and a presentation about the DEMA Mengajar activities by the Project OfficerThe teaching sessions then took place over six meetings, held every Saturday and Sunday. The program concluded with a closing ceremony that included activities such as playing fun games together, awarding volunteers and students, and presenting a plaque to the Gajahwong School Community.
With the DEMA Mengajar activity, it is hoped that DEMA Justicia can provide real contributions to the surrounding community. DEMA Mengajar 2024 is present as a forum and form of student participation to serve the community by adding new knowledge, increasing creativity, diving and mingling with the community, and creating new inspirations in the community.
