Friday (29/7), the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) formally entered into a partnership with two prominent institutions: the non-governmental organization Imparsial and Muhtar Halim & Partners Law Office. The signing ceremony, which began at 3:00 PM WIB, was hosted in Room III.1.1 at the FH UGM campus.
The assembly featured FH UGM Dean Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., alongside Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M. (Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources). Representing the partner organizations were Gufron Mabruri, Director of Imparsial, and Muhtar Ali, S.H., LL.M., in his capacity as Founding Partners Muhtar Halim & Partners Law Office, Muhtar Ali, S.H., LL.M.
The proceedings opened with the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by addresses from the institutional leadership. In her remarks, Dean Dahliana Hasan extended a warm welcome to the impartial parties and Muhtar Halim & Partners Law Office characterizing the engagement as a vital conduit for the academic community to access practical legal exposure.. She emphasized that through research initiatives and internship programs, students could significantly bolster both their hard skills and soft skills of the entire academic community.
The Director of Imparsial then expressed appreciation for the collaborative opportunity, underscoring his organization's dedication to human rights oversight and protection in Indonesia. He noted that through this synergy, Imparsial aims to cultivate the next generation of justice advocates who possess profound legal expertise and a steadfast commitment to human rights.
In the final address, founding partners Muhtar Halim & Partners Law Office. In his remarks, he highlighted the prestige of partnering with FH UGM, an institution renowned for producing exceptional legal practitioners. He stated that Muhtar Halim & Partners Law Office is eager to support the professional growth of talented students by providing substantial field experience and exposure to the realities of legal practice.
The gathering moved to the formal signing of the Cooperation Agreements between FH UGM, Imparsial, and Muhtar Halim & Partners Law Office. The event concluded with the exchange of commemorative tokens and a session for institutional networking.
