The Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the faculty's development, with an orientation toward governance, human resource strengthening, and sustainable development. This commitment was articulated at the Prayer and Presentation of the Dean's Work Program for the Faculty of Law UGM, 2026-2031, held at the Auditorium of Building B, FH UGM, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The event formed part of the formal reception for the leadership of Dean of FH UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., for the 2026-2031 term. The occasion was attended by the FH UGM academic community as a moment to introduce the faculty's direction and work program for the new leadership period.
At the event, Secretary of the FH UGM Senate, Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I., delivered remarks on behalf of the Chair of the FH UGM Senate. Dean Dahliana Hasan then presented a concise overview of the work program that will guide the faculty's development throughout the 2026-2031 period.
The presentation of the work program served as an important moment for unifying the understanding and commitment of all elements of the faculty in support of FH UGM's goals. The strengthening of collaboration among lecturers, administrative staff, and the entire academic community is a critical component in building an adaptive organization capable of responding to developments in higher education and the needs of society.
From the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the strengthening of governance and the development of higher education institutions carries direct relevance to several sustainable development goals. The enhancement of educational quality and human resource capacity aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education), while the development of effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
This commitment also forms part of FH UGM's effort to build an academic and organizational ecosystem that supports the improvement of legal education quality, the development of human resources, and the university's contribution to society.
The event concluded with a prayer and a social gathering. The occasion is hoped to mark an auspicious beginning for the implementation of FH UGM's work program for 2026-2031, while strengthening the spirit of togetherness across the entire academic community in realizing a faculty that is excellent and sustainable.
