FH UGM Promotes Human Resource Empowerment through Strengthening a Culture of Excellence in the Workplace

Malang, July 27, 2025 — The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), continues to promote the empowerment of human resources (HR), particularly faculty members and education staff, through a self-development program held at Shanaya Resort, Malang, from Saturday, July 27, 2025, to Sunday, June 28, 2026. Under the main theme “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence and Integrity in the Workplace,” the program provided a platform for faculty members and education staff to develop their capacities while strengthening a workplace culture that supports outstanding performance within FH UGM

The self-development program was also designed around eight sub-themes tailored to the characteristics, needs, and contexts of each work unit. The eight sub-themes were: “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence in Public Relations, Administration, and Services”; “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence: Fostering Integrity, Professionalism, and a Spirit of Service in Every Task”; “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence and Integrity in Accountable Financial Management, Administration, and Reporting”; “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence in Delivering Professional, Integrity-Driven, and Responsible Services”; “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence and Integrity to Support Academic Excellence, Service Digitalization, and Human Resource Governance”; “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence through Collaboration, Integrity, and Innovation: The Foundation of an Excellent Workplace Culture for Academic and Support Staff”; “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence and Integrity through Collaborative and Innovative Leadership to Promote Sustainable Organizational Performance”; and “Strengthening a Culture of Excellence and Integrity through Professional Role Modeling to Support Sustainable Institutional Excellence.”

Through this program, FH UGM reaffirmed its commitment to continuously empowering faculty members and education staff by strengthening individual capacity, collaboration, and the development of an excellent and sustainable workplace culture. This initiative is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth. Human resource empowerment is an essential component in building an excellent, adaptive, and sustainable educational institution.
