UGM continues to strengthen its identity as a World Class Research University (WCU). This is reflected in the various visits made by UGM delegations to reputable universities abroad. One such delegation visit was made to Palacký University in the city of Olomouc, Czech Republic, held on Friday, October 27, 2023.
The delegation was led by the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D., along with several other delegation members, including Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Partnerships at the UGM Faculty of Law, Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D. On this occasion, the Vice Rector for Strategy and Regional Affairs at Palacký University, Professor Michal Malacka, opened the door to a partnership in education and research with Universitas Gadjah Mada - particularly the UGM Faculty of Law. The agreed forms of cooperation include joint research and publication, enhanced student mobility, and the organization of guest lectures in the fields of banking law and sharia economics.
According to Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., the visit aimed to expand the network of international cooperation between the UGM Faculty of Law and reputable international partners. It is hoped that the various international partnerships established by the Faculty will bring benefit to the development of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and can be optimized by the entire academic community at the UGM Faculty of Law.
This partnership reflects one form of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - specifically Goal 4, Quality Education, and Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals.
