FH UGM, NRGS, and PT Pertamina (Persero) Discuss Employment Law to Bankruptcy Law in Week 9 of the 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Laws Program

South Jakarta, August 16, 2026 — The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), through the Natural Resources Governance Studies (NRGS) Center, in collaboration with PT Pertamina (Persero), through Pertamina Corporate University (PCU), continued the 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Laws Program, which has now entered its ninth week of learning. The sessions were held on Saturday and Sunday, August 15–16, 2026, at the UGM Master of Laws (MIH) Campus in Jakarta.

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, participants explored Comparative Competition Law, which covered the employment-law cluster of the “Job Creation” Law as well as employment relationships within corporate groups. The session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ari Hernawan, S.H., M.Hum., Professor of Labor Law at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

On the same day, participants also attended a session on Transnational Business Law, which examined joint venture practices involving foreign investors and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia, complemented by case studies and negotiation simulations. The session was delivered by Maria Sagrado, S.H., LL.M., M.Kn., Partner at Makarim & Taira S.

The learning sessions continued on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with a session on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, covering the forms and types of arbitration, as well as arbitration systems, venues, and choices. The session was delivered by Junianto James Losari, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Counsel at UMBRA Strategic Legal Solutions.

The following session focused on Bankruptcy Law and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU), covering the objects of bankruptcy proceedings and the bankruptcy of legal entities. The session was delivered by Imran Nating, S.H., M.H., Founding Partner of Imran Nating & Partners.

The ninth week of the program concluded with Post-Test 4, which was conducted to assess participants’ understanding of the overall material presented throughout the two-day learning sessions.
