Thursday (23/1/2025), Faculty of Law UGM took a significant step in promoting International Undergraduate Program (IUP) by visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Jakarta. This initiative was aimed to strengthen the educational partnership between Indonesia and Ukraine, especially in legal education. The delegates from UGM was led by Andika Putra, S.H., M.H., LL.M., one of the environmental law lecturer, and accompanied by Ermawati Asmi, A.Md., and Dwi Julianto, A.Md., academic staffs from Faculty of Law UGM.
Throughout the meeting, Andika Putra emphasized the importance of international collaboration in education, especially in the field of law, He explained that UGM IUP Program was designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of international law, human rights, and comparative legal system. This program is not only improve the academic experience of the students but also preparing them to face the global challenges in the field of legal profession.
The delegates were explaining the detail information regarding the IUP Program, including the curriculum, registration process, and the benefit of studying in UGM. they explained that this program is conducted in English, thereby being accessible for international students, including Ukrainian students. The intention is to attract more students from Ukraine to enroll in this program, in order to support a diverse academic environment.
The visit to the Embassy of Ukraine marked an important event for Faculty of Law UGM. With promoting IUP Program, UGM is not only showing their existence in the eye of the global, but also contributing to the fulfillment of SDGs, especially in the qualified and international partnership goal.
