Thursday (23/1/2025), the delegates from Faculty of Law UGM visited the Embassy of Laos in Jakarta to promote the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). This delegation was led by Diantika Rindam Floranti, S.H., LL.M., as the representative of the faculty in the discussion that was aimed to improve the educational cooperation between Indonesia and Laos.
IUP Program was designed to provide a comprehensive legal education that meets the International standard. With promoting this program to the Embassy of Laos, UGM expected to increase the number of applicants from Laos, so that they can contribute to the SDGs on the Qualified Education and global partnership.
Throughout the meeting, Diantika highlighted the importance of education in building an understanding and the cooperation between countries. She highlighted that IUP program is not only offering a strong curriculum, but also pushing the cultural exchange between students from various countries and backgrounds. This is aligned with the 4th SGDs that aimed to ensure a qualified education that is inclusive and equal for all.
As a part of UGM’s commitment to the fulfillment of SDGs, Faculty of Law also committed to promote the education as the tool for empowerment and development. With the visitation the Embassy of Laos, UGM had taken a proactive step in ensuring a qualified education is accessible to all students from various backgrounds.
