UGM Faculty of Law Visits Egyptian Embassy to Strengthen International Programs

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the UGM Faculty of Law took a significant step toward deepening educational collaboration by initiating a visit to the Embassy of Egypt in Jakarta. The initiative aimed to strengthen educational ties and promote student enrollment in international programs — particularly the International Undergraduate Program (IUP).

The Faculty was represented at the meeting by Muhammad Jibril, S.H., M.PrivateLaw., a lecturer in civil law at the UGM Faculty of Law. During the meeting, Jibril emphasized the importance of international cooperation in education — especially in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which call for inclusive and equitable quality education.

The UGM Faculty of Law aims to create opportunities for students to engage in cross-cultural exchange and gain insight into legal practice in Egypt — and vice versa. This partnership is expected to facilitate student enrollment in various programs that will broaden their understanding of international law and comparative legal systems.
