The Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), through its Health Promoting University (HPU) initiative, continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering a campus environment that is healthy and balanced — not only physically, but mentally. One of the concrete steps taken is an active campaign on Instagram, focused on educating the academic community and raising awareness of the importance of mental health among all campus members.
In addition to this, HPU has also established collaborations with campus psychologists and peer counselors to deliver sharing sessions. These sessions are designed to create a safe and supportive space for students to share their experiences and gain insight into managing psychological challenges — without fear or stigma.
These mental health promotion efforts reflect the UGM Faculty of Law's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being. This goal emphasizes that health must be understood not only in physical terms, but also to encompass mental health and emotional well-being. Through HPU's activities, the faculty plays an active role in creating an academic environment that is supportive, inclusive, and genuinely attentive to the psychological well-being of all its members.
Through these concrete initiatives, HPU FH UGM functions not merely as a health service unit, but as an agent of cultural change on campus — one that champions the importance of mental health — making FH UGM a place of learning that is healthy, empowered, and sustainable.
