Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M. (HR), Ph.D., Annisa Syaufika Yustisia R., S.H., M.H., and Diantika Rindam Floranti, S.H., LL.M., conducted a legal outreach session on cybercrime in Pekka, Bantul, and Gunungkidul on Monday (November 27, 2023). This activity is part of the External Legal Education Grant Program (HPHE) from the Legal Aid Consultation Center at the UGM Faculty of Law. The purpose of this activity is to provide the local community with a better understanding of how to prevent, handle, and report cybercrime.
Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M (HR), Ph.D., discussed online sexual violence, which encompasses various forms of crime such as love scams, the unauthorized distribution of sexual content, sexual harassment, and threats of violence. In addition, she emphasized the importance of preserving evidence and seeking assistance when reporting sexual crimes. Meanwhile, Annisa Syaufika Yustisia R., S.H., M.H., presented material on cybercrimes and preventive measures, such as being wary of suspicious phone calls, not sharing sensitive information, and being cautious of online scams.
This presentation on legal education is a concrete manifestation of the UGM Faculty of Law’s commitment to SDG Goal 4: “Ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Promote Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All.”
