Legal Education on “Klitih” and Village Regulations in Merdikorejo Village

Virga Dwi Effendi, S.H., LL.M., served as a legal education instructor for the External Legal Education Grant (HPHE) program in Merdikorejo Village on Saturday (September 9, 2023). This educational session addressed serious issues related to “Klitih” and juvenile delinquency through the development of village regulations aimed at enhancing safety and order. The HPHE program focuses on external legal education, encouraging the community to formulate effective regulations with guidance from legal experts.

This activity provided insight into how the creation of village regulations can serve as an effective tool in addressing “klitih” and juvenile delinquency, thereby supporting the sustainability of the Merdikorejo village community.

This program, which supports Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), features key components, including expert guidance from Virga Dwi Effendi, workshops to empower the community in drafting regulations, and the promotion of legal literacy. Through a holistic approach, the program encourages collaboration between the community and local authorities to create practical regulations that reflect the community’s needs. As a result, HPHE is expected to generate a sustainable positive impact, promoting safety, order, and legal awareness at the village level.
