On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the UGM Faculty of Law received a benchmarking study visit from the Faculty of Law at Universitas Pattimura. The visit reinforced collaboration between law faculties across Indonesia, while directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
The UGM Faculty of Law has earned international recognition through accreditation by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) from Germany and the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). In 2023, the faculty underwent an online audit by FIBAA to evaluate quality indicators for its undergraduate and postgraduate law programs.
The Universitas Pattimura delegation examined UGM's business management systems and international accreditation strategies. The discussions focused on academic innovation, quality management, and effective accreditation processes that could be adopted to improve the quality of other educational institutions. The session was attended by Dr. Wahyu Yun Santoso, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., and representatives from UGM's Quality Assurance and Academic Innovation Unit.
