Three Law students from Faculty of Law UGM successfully achieved the 1st Place in National Law Debating Competition in Diponegoro Law Fair (DLF) 2024 that was held by Faculty of Law Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The three students are Anika Minerva Pramono (2023), Jessica Olivia Wulandari (2024), Karima Zahra Nurmayati (2024).
The delegates that represented Faculty of Law UGM and SPECIALITY in DLF 2024 consisted of 1 student from Batch 2023 and 2 students from Batch 2024. The three delegates had successfully defeated their rivals that were above their batch.
Besides successfully achieved the first place in National Law Debating Competition, one of the delegates, Karima Zahra Nurmayati, was also awarded for the Best Speaker in that competition.
FH UGM Delegates have passed 3 rounds, which were Preliminary, Semi Final, and Grand Final. The Preliminary was conducted virtually on 19 October 2024, for both Semi Final and Grand Final was conducted offline at Faculty of Law UNDIP on 26 - 27 October 2024.
Diponegoro Law Fair (DLF) itself is one of the annual prestigious competition for law students all over Indonesia. Not just the delegates from UGM, the delegations from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Brawijaya, and Universitas Andalas also qualified to the Semi Final round. On that round, the delegates from FH UGM had successfully defeated the delegates from Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya, and later met the delegates from Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia at the Grand Final round.
