Diponegoro Law Fair is a prestigious competition serving as an arena to test and pit the legal skills of law students from universities across Indonesia. Organized by the Research and Debate Group of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Diponegoro, the competition comprises three branches: the Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition (CDNC), the Scientific Paper Competition (LKTI), and the National Law Debate Competition (KDHN). In 2023, the overarching theme was "Rejuvenating Democratic Values in the Enforcement of Human Rights Toward Achieving a Pancasila-Based Rule of Law State."
The Scientific Paper Competition (LKTI) branch entered by the ALSA LC UGM delegation consisted of two rounds: an online preliminary round and an in-person final round. The branch drew participation from 25 teams from universities across Indonesia. From these 25 teams, the 5 highest-scoring teams were selected to advance to the final round, held at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. The ALSA LC UGM delegation secured First Place with a scientific paper carrying the sub-theme "Law Enforcement and Human Rights in Responding to Cybersecurity Challenges."
