BLC FH UGM Hosts a Career Talk with Walalangi & Partners, Offering Career Insights and Internship Opportunities

Business Law Community (BLC) The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University once again hosted a student professional development forum through the Career Talk event in collaboration with the renowned law firm Walalangi & Partners. This event was held online on Saturday (May 17, 2025), featuring three speakers: Putri Bening Larasati, Alan Sylvester Chandra, and Frilantari Putri, who are associates at Walalangi & Partners.

In this session, the speakers shared their experiences regarding their career paths in the field of business law, the challenges they face in their daily practice, and the skills needed to thrive at an international law firm. Participants also gained insight into the work dynamics at Walalangi & Partners, ranging from handling cross-border transactions and regulatory matters to legal communication strategies with corporate clients.

In addition to sharing practical insights, the event also featured an interactive Q&A session. Students enthusiastically asked questions about preparing for the recruitment process, career opportunities in business law, and tips for navigating a competitive job market. Notably, Walalangi & Partners also provided information on internship opportunities available to law students, making the event not only an opportunity to broaden their horizons but also a stepping stone for participants to gain professional experience.

This Career Talk event with Walalangi & Partners is closely linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First, the event supports SDG 4: Quality Education by providing students with access to practical knowledge and firsthand experience from business law professionals.
