Anambas Islands, April 30, 2025 - The UGM Faculty of Law through the Masters students of the Health Law Study Program, and Pusat Konsultasi Bantuan Hukum (PKBH) Work Unit, on Thursday (1/5/2025) successfully carried out Health Law Counseling activities in Letung, Jemaja District, Anambas Islands Regency, Riau Islands Province. This event was made possible thanks to the good cooperation between the organizers and DoctorSHARE, the Anambas Islands Regency Government through the Health Office, Letung Health Center, Jemaja Hospital, and support from Sinarmas Mining.
The implementing team from the UGM consisted of representatives of the students, namely dr. Nabila Khairunisa, dr. Kenya Leilani, dr. Muhammad Rizky Bafadhal, I Wayan Artawan, S.H., La Ode Akbar Alikhan, S.H., and representatives from PKBH, namely Sahl Radian Setyaki.
The counseling event was held from 09.00 to 11.30, and it was located at the Letung Health Center, with two themes. The first theme is Maintaining the Confidentiality of Patient Data, and the second is Medical Dispute Resolution. These themes were chosen because of the many medical disputes that began with violations in maintaining the confidentiality of medical records containing patient health data. The Counselor conveyed that medical records are the foundation that must be the foothold for Medical Personnel and Health Personnel in providing services. Understanding this is expected to make Medical Personnel and Health Personnel more careful in maintaining medical records, following the mandate of the Health Law.

There were 33 Medical Personnel and Health Personnel who were very enthusiastic about participating in the event, as evidenced by the many questions raised by the participants. The discussion went warmly and left a positive impression on the organizers and participants.
“In the 11 years that I have been working at the Letung Health Center, there has never been a legal counseling like this. With this counseling, we hope to be able to better understand the legal regulations related to work, especially health law. Thank you MHKes Faculty of Law UGM, hopefully there will be more similar activities,” said drg. Lina (39 years old), one of the counseling participants.
I Wayan Artawan, S.H. (27 years old), one of the representatives of MHKes FH UGM students who is also the Counselor on duty, stated, “I am very happy because Medical Personnel and Health Personnel here welcomed us very well, and were active in the question and answer session, so that the activity can run optimally. Hopefully, it can be beneficial for all parties.”
The event was closed with the handover of health equipment for the Health Center and other Health Facilities around the counseling location. The donated medical devices consist of 4 Random Blood Sugar, Uric Acid, and Cholesterol test devices, 8 boxes of GDS, Uric Acid, and Cholesterol test strips each, 1 fetal heart rate test device (Doppler), and 4 digital baby scales. The donations were handed over in turns by representatives from the UGM Faculty of Law, and received by the Head of the Letung Health Center, Mr. Ns. Adymulianto Manurung, S.Kep. M.Kes., and his staff.
The ongoing activities left a positive impression on the PKBH representative, who is also a UGM FH undergraduate student, Sahl Radian, who said, "The provision of medical equipment assistance is a form of concern from FH UGM to help make the government's program in preventing stunting and screening for chronic non-communicable diseases a success, as well as the closing of the First Period of Community Service activities that have been running for 4 days on Letung Island, starting from Free Health Services, to health education for elementary school children and the surrounding community, as well as legal education for Medical Personnel and Health Personnel today. Hopefully, this program can be sustainable and beneficial for the community, especially the residents of Letung Village, Jemaja District, Anambas Islands Regency."
The purpose of implementing the entire series of Community Service events is to support the implementation of the SDGs, especially goal 3, which is to ensure a healthy life and welfare, and goal 10 to reduce inequality, especially in health services, and understanding of health law in Disadvantaged, Border, and Island Regions (DTPK), as well as Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged (3T) areas in Indonesia. Of course, this activity is also expected to strengthen partnerships to achieve sustainable development goals, following the 17th goal of the SDGs.
