The Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) held a Parents' Welcome Meeting for new students of the Undergraduate Program for Academic Year 2026/2027. The event, held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the FH UGM Auditorium, was attended by hundreds of parents of new students — reflecting the faculty's effort to strengthen collaboration between the faculty and families in supporting student academic success.
The event served as an initial communication forum between parents and the faculty, aimed at building a shared understanding of the educational process, academic life, and the range of services that students will receive during their studies at FH UGM.
The occasion was attended by the faculty's leadership team: Dean of FH UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D.; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Partnerships, Prof. Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D.; Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M.; Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A.; Chair of the Undergraduate Program, Dr. Khotibul Umam, S.H., LL.M.; Secretary of the Undergraduate Program, Dr. Muhammad Fatahillah Akbar, S.H., LL.M.; and Cluster Coordinator, Nabiyla Risfa Izzati, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D.
During the event, the faculty leadership together with the Chair of the Undergraduate Program presented various aspects of education at FH UGM from the Single Tuition Fee (Uang Kuliah Tunggal/UKT) mechanism, scholarships, curriculum, and learning methods, to the various self-development programs available to students. These presentations aimed to give parents a comprehensive picture of the educational system at FH UGM, while reinforcing the role of the family in accompanying students throughout their studies.
The atmosphere was warm and interactive particularly during the discussion and Q&A session. Parents showed considerable enthusiasm, raising a wide range of questions about academic support and the development of student character. All questions were answered openly by the faculty leadership, reflecting FH UGM's commitment to building good communication with parents.
Through the Parents' Welcome Meeting, FH UGM affirms its commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the strengthening of an inclusive and quality educational ecosystem, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between the educational institution and families in supporting the success of students' learning journeys.
