The Community Service Department DEMA Justicia Faculty of Law UGM just held a social education and MSMEs workshop on Saturday (1/6/2024). This event was located in Merdikorejo Village Hall with inviting lecturers from Faculty of Business and Economics, Rika Fatimah, as a speaker. This event was one of the events from The Village Partnership Work Program, which is a foster village under DEMA Justicia.
This year Foster Village addressed 3 issues, which are legal, economic, and environmental issues. This event was expected to be the starting point in economic development in Merdikorejo Village, especially in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. This program will work together with Forkom UMKM in Merdikorejo Village that focuses on resolving the ongoing issue, especially in the packaging development and digital marketing aspects. digital marketing.
The purpose of holding the UMKM Socialization and Workshop is to implement discussions around economic issues raised in the Partner Village. It is hoped that following this activity, the people of Merdikorejo Village—particularly the Merdikorejo Village UMKM Communication Forum (Forkom UMKM)—will gain solutions to the challenges they face, receive training on UMKM product marketing, and learn how to market products digitally These efforts aim to support the improvement and development of UMKM products in Merdikorejo Village in order to ensure sustainable economic growth in line with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
This activity was attended by members of the Forkom UMKM, who are residents of Merdikorejo Village. The community's enthusiasm was evident from the presence of approximately fifty participants who are part of the Merdikorejo Village Forkom UMKM.
