The Research Center for Law, Gender, and Society (LGS), Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held Sharing Session Series 3 as a forum to share LGS research findings, under the theme "Implementation of Ministry of Religious Affairs Decree No. 91 of 2025 on Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools in Addressing Violence within Pesantren." The event took place on Friday, 6 February 2026, from 15.30 WIB until completion, at Meeting Room 1, Building 4, Research Center, Faculty of Law UGM. The discussion was open to researchers and/or volunteers of LGS.
The event featured two discussion facilitators, Muhammad Ryandaru Danisworo, S.H., LL.M. and Zamrotul Miftakhus Laili, S.H., who presented research findings on the implementation of Ministry of Religious Affairs Decree No. 91 of 2025 concerning Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren Ramah Anak).
During the session, the facilitators discussed the urgency of the regulation as a legal foundation for efforts to address violence against children within pesantren environments. The discussion also highlighted challenges in policy implementation at the institutional level, including oversight mechanisms, reporting systems, and the strengthening of responsive and sustainable child protection systems.
Through this forum, the researchers hoped to gain constructive input from participants to enrich the research findings, while reinforcing a shared commitment to making pesantren a safe and child-friendly learning environment.
