The Master’s Program in Notarial Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, has received an “excellent” accreditation rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) based on the Decision of the Director of the BAN-PT Executive Board No. 6563/SK/BAN-PT/Ak. KP/M/XI/2024, issued on Tuesday (November 5, 2024) in Jakarta. This “excellent” accreditation is valid from November 5, 2024, through March 15, 2025, or for approximately four months.
This excellent accreditation was not achieved easily, but rather through great effort and cooperation from all parties, including the study program administration, students, faculty, and various other stakeholders. The process of preparing all the necessary documents to achieve accreditation began in 2023, and the documents were submitted in September 2024. The document preparation process was accompanied by efforts to improve the quality and quantity of various aspects included in the assessment indicators. These ranged from improving the quality of educational services, the curriculum, student services, domestic and international cooperation, publications of student and faculty works or research, graduate profiles and various matters related to graduates, to various other aspects included in the higher education accreditation assessment indicators.
It is hoped that this outstanding accreditation achievement can be sustained as a driving force to continuously improve and maintain the quality of the study program. Furthermore, this achievement is expected to boost public confidence in a credible study program that consistently produces high-quality graduates.
This upgrade in accreditation from “A” to “Excellent” is a tangible demonstration of the commitment of the administration and students of the Master’s Program in Notarial Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, to improving the quality of education—which is the fourth point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This was achieved through efforts to enhance and improve various aspects of the program, including the quality of the curriculum and educational services within the Master’s Program in Notarial Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM.
