Mini Master of Law Program Pertamina 2025 Enters Its Fourth Week, UGM Faculty of Law Strengthens Managerial Legal Literacy

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Center for Natural Resources Governance Studies (NRGS), in collaboration with PT Pertamina (Persero) via Pertamina Corporate University, has resumed the 2025 Mini Master of Law Program, now entering its fourth week of learning. The program took place on Saturday and Sunday, June 21–22, 2025, at the UGM Jakarta Campus for the Master of Law Program, and serves as a strategic training initiative aimed at enhancing legal literacy among managerial and executive ranks within the Pertamina Holding Group.

In this fourth week, approximately 60 participants from PT Pertamina (Persero) and its subsidiaries attended the sessions with great enthusiasm and active participation. This spirit was reflected in the dynamic and interactive discussions that unfolded during the sessions, showcasing the participants' strong commitment to deepening their understanding of critical legal issues that support strategic decision-making in the energy sector. Specifically designed for participants from non-legal backgrounds—ranging from mid-level managers to top executives—the program equips them with applicable legal knowledge relevant to the complexities and dynamics of the business and energy industry.

The fourth week of learning was divided into two classes, covering a total of eight lecture sessions. Four sessions were held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 08.00 to 17.00 WIB, followed by four more sessions on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 09.00 to 17.00 WIB. A Pre-Test 2 session was conducted on Saturday from 08.00 to 09.00 WIB as part of the evaluation process to measure participants’ initial understanding of the material to be studied in Weeks 4 and 5. Topics covered in this week's sessions included key subjects such as Corporate Organization Law, Commercial Contracts, Public Finance Law, and Capital Market Law. These sessions were delivered by prominent experts in their fields, including Miriam Andreta, S.H. (Partner, Walalangi & Partners), Dr. Veri Antoni, S.H., M.Hum. (Business Law Lecturer, UGM Faculty of Law), and Dr. Hendry Julian Noor, S.H., M.Kn. (Administrative Law Lecturer, UGM Faculty of Law).

The successful continuation of the Mini Master of Law Program in its fourth week further reinforces the commitment of UGM Faculty of Law and PT Pertamina (Persero) to supporting global agendas, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program contributes directly to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing legal literacy among non-law professionals; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through strengthened decision-making capabilities in the business sector; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting fair and effective dispute resolution practices; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), as reflected in the strong collaboration between academia, practitioners, and the energy industry.

Through the implementation of the Pertamina 2025 Mini Master of Law Program, Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada and PT Pertamina (Persero) continue to strive to strengthen the synergy between academia and industry in order to produce corporate leaders who are not only technically competent but also have a strong understanding of the law, so that they are able to realize professional, accountable, and integrity-based corporate governance.
