Seminar and Dissertation Information

1. Seminar Information

Seminar will be attended by Head or Secretary of Study Program with 10 other doctoral students minimum; with goals to receive input about the research method, originality, and material or substance of the research. Under special circumstances such as pandemic, seminar can be held online, without other doctoral students present. Grade for Proposal Seminar are held in 2nd Semester.

2. Dissertation Information

Dissertation is scientific work that arranged by a student as one of the requirements to get the Doctoral Degree. As a scientific work, dissertation has to be written with standard and rules, start from the proposal writing until the report publication. The goals for this required dissertation are:

  1. make a scientific contribution to the field of legal science which is the topic of the dissertation through the creation of new knowledge;
  2. to demonstrate critical thinking of promovendus/a;
  3. demonstrate knowledge promovendus/a in their field of science in depth and build convincing arguments;
  4. prove that the student has mastered the research method and its application in the research that has been carried out;
  5. demonstrate the ability promovendus/a in analyzing data and information, also presenting research results; and
  6. to demonstrate a scientific integrity and discipline promovendus/a in research ethics
