On Friday (January 24, 2025), the Master of Laws Study Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a workshop to prepare for the new semester and revise the Semester Learning Plan (RPKPS) for the 2024/2025 academic year. The event, held in Room III.1.1, was attended by lecturers teaching the courses.
The workshop was led by Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M. (H.R.), Ph.D., Head of the Study Program, who emphasized the importance of a curriculum that is up-to-date and relevant to legal developments. Meanwhile, Rangga A. Dachlan, S.H., LL.M., M.Phil., D.Phil., Secretary of the Study Program, emphasized the need for lecturer collaboration in developing the RPKPS to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 4 on quality education and lifelong learning opportunities.
The workshop discussion highlighted the integration of practical legal skills, innovative learning strategies, and the importance of research and academic writing. Lecturers were encouraged to incorporate practical experience and research into their courses to better prepare students for the challenges of the real legal world.
The event concluded with a joint commitment from the lecturers to improve the quality of the curriculum and student learning experience. This effort is expected to strengthen the contribution of the UGM Faculty of Law Masters Program in producing outstanding graduates while supporting the achievement of the SDGs in education and sustainable development.
