Master of Litigation Law Faculty of Law UGM held a Pelatihan Pembelajar Sukses bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PPSMB) that attended by the students from batch 2024 on Friday (16/8/2024). This event aimed to provide an academic guide and introduction to the lecture activities in many aspects in that study program.
In this training, the freshmen obtained information regarding the lecture structure, grading system, and the academic rules that must be followed during their study in UGM. This training also emphasized the importance of effective learning skill, research method master skill, and the preparation for the academic challenges in master level.
Dr. Supriyadi, S.H., M.Hum., as the Head of Master of Litigation Law Program explained regarding the information related the study program management, details of lectures, curriculum, and the structure and the classes distribution. The students also provided with the explanation regarding the make-up exam mechanism, academic leave, lecture evaluation, and the student organization to help them plan their study properly.
This PPSMB activity was not only focused on the academic introduction but also supported the SDGs, especially with the 4th goal on Qualified Education, that pushes inclusive and qualified education access, the 16th point on the Peace, Justice, and Strong Institution. This event was expected to give provide the students with the academic knowledge that is strong, so they can contribute professionally in law field, strengthening the legal institutions, and fighting for justice.
Through this training, the students obtained a strong base to purse studies with proper direction and successfully, also prepared to face academic challenges in master level. The Master of Litigation Law graduates are expected to be able to give a significant contribution for the people and Indonesian legal system.
