Friday (9/8/2024), the 12th class of Special Education for Advocate Profession (PKPA) (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat) Faculty of Law UGM (FH UGM) along with Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia (PERADI) (Indonesian Advocates Association) has officially launched. This edition’s class was opened by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., M.A., LL.M. as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Faculty of Law, UGM. The event then proceed with the opening remarks from PERADI representative, Dr. Adardam Achyar, S.H., M.H. The opening of PKPA XII was also attended by the Chairman of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of PERADI Yogyakarta City, namely, Dr. Ariyanto, S.H., C.N. M.H. along with other DPC administrators.
PKPA XII was conducted on Friday (9/8/2024) until Sunday (25/8/2024). This edition’s batch was conducted hybrid with 101 participants and 21 experienced instructors. PKPA XII itself consisted of 27 learning sessions. This program has a comprehensive curriculum to achieve professional standards for an advocate. Besides, this program is believed to provide participants with the opportunity to gain deeper legal knowledge, hone their skills to become excellent advocates, and strengthen their personal integrity.

This program also supports the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), one of them is the 4th goal on Qualified Education. PKPA also pushed for inclusive, qualified, and fruitful education for the participants. With this program, the quality and the preparation by the participants to become an excellent advocates will be increased and ultimately will develop a qualified advocates in the future.
