The 16th PKPA Cohort of the UGM Faculty of Law–PERADI SAI 2025 Officially Concludes: Training Professional Lawyers to Support the SDGs

The Specialized Professional Training Program for Attorneys (PKPA) Class XVI for the year 2025 officially concluded on Saturday (August 30, 2025), held online (with an online registration process). Following the opening remarks from the Faculty of Law, UGM, and PERADI SAI, as well as the presentation of the final graduation report for all PKPA participants, representatives of PKPA XVI participants—Jansen Joshua, S.H., and Drs. Hanafi, S.H., M.Hum.—shared their reflections and messages. Both noted that the PKPA XVI program had provided a wealth of valuable knowledge, both through discussions of course material and hands-on practice. They also emphasized that this experience serves as an important foundation for aspiring attorneys to develop themselves as legal professionals of integrity.

The implementation of the 16th Cohort of the Specialized Professional Education Program for Lawyers (PKPA) is a concrete manifestation of the UGM Faculty of Law’s Center for Legal Consultation and Assistance’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative directly contributes to Goal 4 on Quality Education by enhancing the quality of legal education, as well as Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth by preparing professional prospective attorneys who are ready to enter the workforce. Furthermore, the PKPA also supports the achievement of Goal 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, given that the legal profession plays a crucial role in strengthening public access to justice and ensuring the rule of law. Thus, the implementation of the 16th PKPA cohort not only produces graduates who are academically and practically competent but also makes a significant contribution to strengthening democracy and sustainable development in Indonesia.
