Classes for the 15th Cohort of the Specialized Professional Training Program for Lawyers, a collaboration between the UGM Faculty of Law and PERADI, Have Begun

The opening ceremony for the 15th cohort of the Specialized Professional Training Program for Lawyers (PKPA) in 2025 was held in a hybrid format on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Room 3.1.1 of the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM). The opening of the PKPA XV program marks the start of the program, which is a collaboration between FH UGM and the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI). 

The event was attended by representatives from the Faculty of Law, UGM, as well as representatives from PERADI. The Faculty of Law, UGM, was represented by the Associate Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL. M., M.A., the Head of the Center for Legal Consultation and Assistance (PKBH) at the Faculty of Law, UGM, the Chair of the PKPA XV Organizing Committee, Annisa Syaufika Y. R., S.H., M.H., as well as other committee members from PKBH. Furthermore, PERADI invited Prof. Dr. Ir. Firmanto Laksana Pangaribuan, S.H., M.M., M.H., CLA., as Chair of the Special Education for the Legal Profession Division of the PERADI National Executive Board (DPN) to deliver an online address on behalf of Prof. Dr. Otto Hasibuan, S.H., M.H., as Chair of the PERADI National Executive Board (DPN). 

The PKPA XV course, which will take place from Thursday, May 15, 2025, to Saturday, May 31, 2025, will be conducted by 21 experienced instructors across 27 sessions to provide law graduates with the opportunity to deepen their legal knowledge, hone their practical legal skills, and strengthen their integrity in preparation for the Bar Exam (UPA), involving a total of 128 participants—64 online and 64 in-person. 

Furthermore, the implementation of the PKPA also serves as a concrete manifestation of Indonesia’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4—Quality Education—and Goal 8—Decent Work and Economic Growth. This ensures the provision of quality education, ultimately enabling participants to secure decent employment and contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth. Additionally, the course materials are prepared comprehensively to ensure they meet the professional standards for attorneys. Through this program, it is hoped that the quality and readiness of PKPA XV participants will improve significantly, enabling them to become competent, professional, and ethical attorney candidates.
